The design looks great online but be aware that the bamboo lid does not fit closely to the butter dish. The underside of the bamboo lid has protruding grooves, as if it is actually meant to slot into something... but regrettably not this butter dish. It’s almost as if the wrong lid has been sent, Did not immediately notice this when I opened the package, washed and dried the butter dish for dish for first use. Don’t waste your money.
